(SISÈ) - Step by Step Drawing Exercises

We try to develop drawing skills with several step-by-step drawings form early stages in our school. We graded exercises from easy to difficult and we spread them along the six first years. In the pictures attached you can see our sixth year kids drawing Harry Potter's characters downloaded from Activityvillage.co.uk.

(QUART) - Opposites memory game

After writing on the whiteboard all the opposites the kids know, each of them chooses sic couples to create their own memory game: good and bad, up and down, strong and weak...

They write the word and draw a small picture in relation to it. Then we start a memory contest where each of them have to play with some other classmate. If they win the game they come up to me and say: "I'm the winner". They earn heart points for each game won and keep playing with other winners till we reach a certain score. They love it!

Arts Vocabulary and Expressions Test Center Open!

Després d'uns quants dies de feina intensa obrim un espai web que us ajudarà a estudiar el vocabulari i les expressions que us calen per l'assignatura als cursos de quart, cinquè i sisè de primària. Si disposeu d'un correu electrònic, el email de l'escola us servirà perfectament, podeu fer els tests i rebre el resultat immediatament. Hi podreu accedir des de la pestana del menú "Arts Test Center!" Espero que us sigui útil!

(CINQUÈ) - Super Battle Ships

Have you ever played "Guerra de barcos"? Some of my kids hadn't so I decided to show them how. We can practise the alphabet and some other basic expressions while playing... Children in couples use the Super Battle Ship template to start a game. Teacher walks around the room and listens to the game play, (he is some kind of spy). If any of the children is not speaking in english, the spy teacher can help the opponent by telling him/her a ship location.

(SISÈ) - The theory of Colour by Isaac Newton

We knew about primary and secondary colours but, why did Isaac Newton said that if you mixed all the colour you could get white? Isn't it crazy? We decided to prove why making an experiment...

(CINQUÈ) - Blow Paint (bufar pintura)

What can you do with your mouth? After writing down all kinfd of actions on the board, I tell them they can also blow paint using a straw and some watercolour. They get so excited blowing that some of them even fell dizzy! Too much much blowing, take it easy :)
