6th - Colour Cercles - (Cercles cromàtics)

Isaac Newton defined the colour theory... What are primary colours? And secundary? Can you believe mixing different colours makes white? These and other questions were investigated in this project...

(SIXTH) - Colour Cercles (cercles cromàtics)

We first spoke about Newton's colour theory, defined what are primary and secondary colours. After we mixed wax colours to try and get black or white. Black was easy but, what about white? The experiment ended when we made the spinners in the picture above. You can see other picture in the Image Gallery.

(CINQUÈ) - colour gradients (degradats de color)

En aquesta pràctica els alumnes van intentar crear tonalitats de color barrejant dos colors. Vam començar fent un recull a la pissarra dels 'opposites' (contraris) que els alumnes coneixien. El 'black and white' és un exemple que sempre surt. A partir d'aquests dos començava la pràctica. Després de dibuixar la graella de quadres amb l'ajuda del regle i sobre una cartolina reciclada, agafaven 'wax colours'. Segons la intensitat amb que usaven un o l'altre aconseguien a 'light or dark colour'.

(SISÈ) - colour circle (cercle cromàtic)

Isaac Newton defined the theory of colour. With this experiment we discovered which are the primary colours (blue cyan, red magenta and yellow) and what happens if you mix them. We mixed them using wax colours on paper getting secondary colours (violet purple, green and orange). We also checked why Newton defined that the mixture of the three primary colours make white (when talking about light colours). Check the video for evidence!
