2017 XMAS ARTS PROJECTS

As usual, kids in 6th years decided what xmas crafts they wanted to make. In their cooperative groups they decided what to do, which materials were needed, who was doing what and so on. The kids in fifth and fourth year keep asking me to do the xmas singers and the candle pots, they love them. Easy and fast decoration!

Com ja ha esdevingut un costum, cada any, els alumnes de cinquè participen al concurs municipal de murals per la Volta Ciclista a Catalunya. A la galeria, podreu veure algunes imatges.

(FOURTH) Opposites Memory Game

After writing on the whiteboard all the opposites the kids know, each of them chooses 4 couples to create their own memory game: good and bad, up and down, strong and weak...

They write the word and draw a small picture in relation to it. Then we start a memory competition where each of them has to play with some other classmates. If they win the game they come up to me and say: "I'm the winner". They earn heart points for each game won and keep playing with other winners. They love it! Quins són els vostres murals preferits de la Volta Ciclista a Catalunya? Cada mural te un número, esculliu els que us agraden més i voteu al formulari que trobareu a sota. These are the instructions for The First Recipe Contest!

• Work in groups and decide what recipe you want to make.
• Choose one of these three categories:

1. MOST DISGUSTING RECIPE
2. MOST DELICIOUS RECIPE
3. EASIEST RECIPE

• Decide what recipe you can do.
• Once you have the recipe you can start making the project.
• Each project has four parts to do:

1. "Title of the Recipe" in nice letters with the category under it.
2. "Ingredients list", what ingredients do you need for the recipe?
3. "Process", a step by step description explaining how to make the recipe.
4. "Pictures", beautiful pictures of the ingredients and the recipe.

• Divide the work, choose your colour papers and start working!

(SISÈ) - Room Name Signs

What is really 3D? After talking about three dimensions and optical illusions we started to create some signs for the children's rooms. How can we simulate the third dimension: depth? Some of the children tried experiment with shadows and volums, some rather make some kind of grafitty text.

6th - Colour Cercles - (Cercles cromàtics)

Isaac Newton defined the colour theory... What are primary colours? And secundary? Can you believe mixing different colours makes white? These and other questions were investigated in this project...
