6th - Colour Cercles - (Cercles cromàtics)

Isaac Newton defined the colour theory... What are primary colours? And secundary? Can you believe mixing different colours makes white? These and other questions were investigated in this project...

(SIXTH) - Colour Cercles (cercles cromàtics)

6th COLOUR CERCLES 2013-14

We first spoke about Newton's colour theory, defined what are primary and secondary colours. After we mixed wax colours to try and get black or white. Black was easy but, what about white? The experiment ended when we made the spinners in the picture above. You can see other picture in the Image Gallery.

The Colour Wheel and the Primary Colours

According to Newton's discoveries, colour can be "made" in two ways:
  • Additive Primary Colors (Used in lights etc.): Red, Green and Blue
  • Subtractive Primary Colors (Used in printer's ink): Cyan, Magenta and Yellow

Primary Colors used for most other manufactured pigments (paints, dyes, food colouring) Red, Yellow and Blue.

(QUART) - Colour menu (Menu de colors)

Keywords: menu, mix, colours, decide, wax colours, dark orange, light green, list, food, dish, varnish

S'ha utilitzat ceres (wax colours) i vernís (varnish).
