(FOURTH) - Colour Menu Cooking

Identificar de quins ingredients disposem, els colors. Netejar-los abans de cuinar-los. Les ceres s'embruten fàcilment i cal netejar-les abans per aconseguir un color clar. Un cop tenim els ingredients, anem a veure què passa quan en barregem alguns: "What colour do you get?" "Is it dark or light?"

(FOURTH) Opposites Memory Game

After writing on the whiteboard all the opposites the kids know, each of them chooses 4 couples to create their own memory game: good and bad, up and down, strong and weak...

They write the word and draw a small picture in relation to it. Then we start a memory competition where each of them has to play with some other classmates. If they win the game they come up to me and say: "I'm the winner". They earn heart points for each game won and keep playing with other winners. They love it! (FOURTH) - Wax Colour Menu

What do you get if you mix blue and yellow? Wax colour are great for mixing. In this project, kids create their menus, they first make a list of their ingredients, (in this case, colours), and then create their delicatessen dishes, their unique colour mixtures...

OUR FOURTH ENGLISH MOVIE (At the moment)

4th Reading Point (Punt de lectura)

Breaking colour papers into small parts and sticking them together? That's a collage! Cutting a slice of card and using it to remember where were we reading? That's a reading point? Easy and fun...

(QUART) making rockets

Sculpture can be made using recycled carboard boxes. In this case we designed some rockets. They drew the shape, cut it out and create a volume by duplicating the first shape. Take a look at the pictures to see some of the results.

(TERCER, QUART, CINQUÈ, SISÈ) Amazing Animals

We decided to join the Cambridge Penfriends project and try to create a relation with some students of foreign countries. We started by choosing an animal and then drawing it or inventing one using collage. Then we wrote a description with the help of our English teachers. The Cambridge Project provides you a topic to work on your cards. Once finished, can take some pictures and upload them to their website. It should have been fine if the school we were related would have answered my emails. We liked working on a given theme and seing what other children are doing. I'm trying to find another school which takes it seriously, but it looks like there are many "ghost schools" in the Cambridge Penfriends database...You can see some of our Amazing Animals cards in this link.

(QUART) - Blow Paint (Bufar pintura)

"What can you do with your mouth?" Entre tots, anem recollint a la pissarra una llista d'accions que poden fer-se amb la boca: eat, speak, shout, kiss, talk, spit, whistle.., Intentant que apareixi la paraula "Blow" (bufar). Després els explico que pintarem pintant.

"We are going to use watercolours and a straw to blow some fireworks". Els recordo com barrejar l'aigua amb el pinzell suaument. Un cop tenim el pinzell ple, deixem caure una bona gota sobre el cartró i bufem per aconseguir una mena d'explosió de color, com sifossin focs d'artifici. Als nens els encanta i es va sentint: "Woooow!"

(QUART, CINQUÈ, SISÈ) Basic English Dialogues - (diàlegs en anglès)

Els alumnes de quart, cinquè, sisè i alguns de segon hem estat treballant conjuntament en l’enregistrament d’un petit vídeo. A l’escola intentem que l’Educació Visual i Plàstica no sigui només plàstica i de tant en tant, realitzem projectes audiovisuals. Aquest n’és un. En parelles, els alumnes han representat uns diàlegs bàsics en anglès. L’assaig i l’enregistrament s’ha fet en una hora de classe. Vam començar llegint i repartint els diàlegs, els alumnes van practicar-los i els vam anar gravant, parella a parella amb la resta de la classe de públic. Les classes s’han covertit en petits platós! Fins i tot teniem càmera amb trípode i traspuntadors que assessoraven als actors i les actrius que oblidaven esporàdicament el seu text. Prepareu les crispetes i premeu el "play"!

 Com al menu d'un restaurant i després de retallar unes caixes de cereals, els alumnes comencen a 'col·leccionar' tots els colors que poden. Els alumnes intenten anomenar i registrar tots els colors que troben. Utilitzen 'dark or light' (fosc o clar) per matisar-los. La segona part de l'exercici consisteix en barrejar-ne dos fent un plat combinat, una barreja de colors, experimentant així les la composició dels colors primaris i secundaris. S'ha utilitzat ceres (wax colours) i vernís (varnish).

Durant una bona part del curs, els alumnes de quart han estat utilitzant una tauleta gràfica i un programa editor d'imatges per convertir una fotografia d'ells mateixos en un "Autoretrat Digital"... Podeu veure les imatges d'altres anys: Curs 2010-11 Curs 2009-10

(QUART) - recycled caps - (gorres reciclades)

kewords: cap, fabric, design, badge, glue, Quan l'Escola Pia de Catalunya es va fer càrrec de Lestonnac de Calella, vam descobrir unes caixes plenes de gorres de l'antiga escola. Una llàstima, perquè les gorres són de bona qualitat. Vaig decidir quedar-me-les i des de llavors, cada any, els alumnes de quart se'n personalitzen una d'elles amb retalls de roba de colors, cola, tisores i una mica d'imaginació. A les imatges en veureu el resultat.

(QUART) - paper carnival (carnaval de paper)

Durant la setmana de carnaval, vaig proposar als alumnes que es fabriquessin uns bigotis de paper. En petits grups van anar retallant paper i no van passar ni tan sols uns minuts abans no van sortir altres accesoris per disfressar-se: barbes, barrets, ulleres, cicatrius, corbates... Tisores, cinta adhesiva, fotocòpies reciclades i una mica d'imaginació, res més. ;)

(QUART i SISÈ) - xmas singers (cantaires nadalencs)

Per fer aquests cantaire cal: un rotlle de paper higiènic, un mitjó de nen vell (procureu que estigui net), una mica de cordill, una fotocòpia d'una partitura, papers de colors, pintura, retolador negre i tisores.

Pas a pas:

• Pinta el rotlle de paper higiènic
• Un cop sec, enganxa la cara que hauràs dibuixat sobre paper de color
• Retalla els guants del paper de color 
• Retalla un tros de la partitura i doblega'l per la meitat
• Enganxa la partitura als guants i aquests al rotlle
• Retalla el mitjó per la meitat i lliga'l per la part que has retallat. Aquest serà el barret 

Ja fa uns anys que fem aquesta activitat, és fàcil i als nens els encanta.
